WE PROUDLY ANNOUNCE THE APPOINTMENT OF LAR MORE MACLIN (L.A.) AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF L.E.A.D. PROMISING YOUTH

L.A. has been involved in the L.E.A.D. program since 2011 as a part-time mentor and Life Skills teacher. He is a Ladue Horton Watkins graduate. He went on to receive his  Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Central Missouri State University in 1999.

L.A. spent his career being involved in two industries: social services and music. As a Hip Hop recording and performing artist, L.A. has released 18 independent albums and performed on thousands of stages locally and regionally. He is well known and respected in the St. Louis Hip Hop Community and has been a leader in his genre for over 15 years, which garnered him awards and recording contracts along the way. While pursuing his  music dreams, he continued working with children, youth, adults, and families in the non-profit sector. L.A. has been a teacher in  a Head Start center, a youth mentor, as well as a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities. He is also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

L.A. has a unique ability to engage children and youth in an authentic and meaningful way. He often uses his experience with music and sports to connect and inspire others.
